Fertilizer Friday - TGIF

Good Friday morning friends. TGIF. It's Friday in case you didn't know - time to join the party over at Tootsie Time to show off our blooms. http://www.tootsietime.com/

I'm so glad I made myself get out and at least water my babies and take a few photos. I hate not participating in the weekly get togethers.

Faithful begonias. They are so tolerant of the dry conditions. It doesn't seem to even bother them.

Theis a four o'clock that has been in this stage for over 2 wks. I have looked at it at different times of day and it is the same all the time. The plant is loaded with little 'almost' flowers all over it. This is a Marvel of Peru.

Milkweed is flowering now. Butterflies are everywhere but all I've seen so far are swallow tails. They won't stay still long enough for me to get a photo.

Cannas still blooming.

Verbena and coleus.

Vincas.

Cleome is beginning to bloom.

That's about all I have for today.

I feel that I am so fortunate to have found that blogging would lead to so many friends. I appreciate each and every comment from my post yesterday. You all are so encouraging to me.

I am a list maker. Nicotine patch and nicotine gum and hard candy are on my walmart list. I plan to apply the patch on Monday.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

I didn't realize begonias tolerated dry periods. That's going into my memory file. Both the white ones and the ones with dark leaves are beautiful.

I bet your four o'clocks are blooming in the evening. I have to check mine about 6 in the morning to see them open. Wax begonias are great plants. Lovely to see the cleome coming around and I want that canna!

I'm thinking positive thoughts in regards to stopping smoking. My stepdaughter quit a while ago. She looks so much healthier. I wish my best friend would quit. I know she would be in so much better health. OH, and your begonias are lovely!

I quit smoking last year for a few months. I quit with gum. I've never used nicotine gum or patches or drugs. But then again I started back. Maybe I should try one or the other. Hmmm. Have a restful weekend!

The first 4 o'clocks I had bloomed like clockwork...4 every afternoon. Had some in NC and they bloomed in the morning. Had some seeds from them and tossed them in the flowerbed here (Sarasota). Have real small plants and I think they bloom in the middle of the night. Next spring I will get new seed and see what happens.
Thanks for the pics.

Hi Becca. Your cleome is going to be so pretty. I love them but they are just another disappointment in my flower seeding endeavors. LOL! My milkweed is just budding. Summer is just flying by and I wish it would slow down.Have a wonderful weekend and I hope the storms are not near your area.
