Bloomin' Tuesday

Good morning blogging buddies. Today is Tuesday and it's time for Bloomin' Tuesday over at Jean's. Ya'll go check it out and see who else has something blooming.

I have another new daffodil blooming here. This one has a small flower but they are a double coming off the same stalk.
Another one with slightly different coloring.

This orange and white baby is face up. She is kissing the sun.

And a few things that are coming along in the garden. Zinnias are popping everywhere. Zinnia's have to be the best and easiest to grow of just about any other plant other than begonia's. They are not fussy at all.

Two of my bulbs/rhizomes I planted 4 weeks ago has not come up yet. Phlox and Clematis H.F.Young are running behind. After 4 weeks they may not do anything.
My Sarah Bernhardt Peony has just come up and is taking off now. It took this one about 3 weeks to spring up and look at it now.

Hollyhocks I put down as seeds are doing well. Not many of the seeds I direct sowed are doing anything at all. I have learned that I should always put out little seedlings because I tend to pull what I think are weeds and probably were not weeds at all. Unfortunately yesterday I pulled up some Johnny Jump Ups before I realized what I had done. Oh well - gardens are always a work in progress and learning experience.

Dahlia's are really coming alive. These have been out of the ground only about 10-14 days and look at them now.

Hope you all have a great day and some beautiful weather.

It's nice to enjoy your Daffs, mine are long since spent & gone. Looks like things are popping up nicely in your garden this spring. :)

I enjoyed your garden pics! Thanks for sharing! The first daffodil looks like 'Cheerfulness,' one I have in my own garden and so enjoy. ~~Rhonda :)

I cannot wait to see your Phlox (I hope they come up) and Peonies. I love those flowers and do not grow them myself :-)

Becca all your hard work is really paying off isn't it. Don't worry about those Johnny Jump Ups you pulled by accident. They jumped somewhere else before you did it and you'll have them everywhere. LOL

don't you just love Spring?! I was just watering all of my perennials that I planted this weekend. The local nursery had little 3" pots for $.99. I just discovered though that I pulled up something not knowing what it was and need to get out there and replant it lol Other than that I need to cover everything for the frost/freeze warning for tonight. One of the problems with getting anxious and getting out there early. Love looking at your stuff.

I always enjoy my visit here. I hope your hollyhocks do well...usually they will really grow. I have to tie mine back they get so tall.

That one daff looks like an egg, the one kissing the sun. I can't believe you still have daffs blooming?! I'm guessing you're okay then. No tornado damage. Zinnias are the easiest to grow? I planted a whole row of them in the garden from seeds, and nothing has come up!

I never realized there were so many different daffodils. Yours are lovely and interesting. Looks like your conditions are perfect for the growing season. Isn't it fun to watch things just pop out of the ground? Happy Bloomin' Tuesday! Jean

What pretty daffodils! I love the doubles. I won't be planting Zinnia seeds for awhile still, but you're right they are easy and I love them. My Dahlias have broken through the ground yet, another summer bloomer I love.

Looks like things are popping up and out in the garden. Some of the seeds you gave me didn't come up but I am still hopeful.

Love your daffodils!

I always thought zinnias didn't do so well here in the South. That's why I always pass them by in the garden centers...something about powdery milidew or something? But you're even more South than I am, so that must be wrong, eh?

Such unusual daffodils! I love them. I planted some last fall but they didn't bloom. I'm wondering if I got them too deep. Such a happy flower.

You are definitely ahead of us. I haven't even planted my zinnias yet, but they are one of my all time favorites.

Thanks for your visits to my blog! :)
