A day like today on the Gulf Coast makes one just mad to be setting at a desk. The skies are the bluest blue, not a single cloud, and a balmy 62 degrees. Nature is calling. I feel the need to dig in the dirt. Instead I must work. Afterall so many people who want to work cannot find a job. OK - so planning what I am going to do - will have to do for today.
My first spot for my first garden in my yard - as stated on another posting will be around a pecan tree. I expect this area to be about a 10 x 10 garden. I want to have plenty of colors. Looking at Springhill Nursery spring catalog these are my picks: phlox - pink, hollyhocks - pink and white, vinca, begonia, blue aster and daisy. I can't wait to see my garden take shape and how pretty. I'll take pictures when I get me a good camera.

I am ready to be planting something too. We should be back in the 70's by the weekend and I will be back out working in my raised beds.
It sounds like you have a good idea of what you want to plant.
Good luck with it all.
Thanks for the visit and comment.
Have a great day.

Hi Becca glad to meet you. I want everthing in my small garden. Just love phlox and want the white African daisy with blue centers. Like you it will be a work in progress.

thank you for commenting on my blog. I certainly enjoy this endless number of blogs and I just love to read everyone of them.
We're having some good weather for a few days, too. I enjoyed walking around the yard after work. I am thankful for my job, too, and really thankful I have the summers off.
Thanks for your comment on my Wordless Wednesday post.
