My first veggies from the garden. Wednesday I picked 2 and yesterday 4. Today I expect at least 6-8. Every day I should be able to pick squash till they stop producing. They look small but that is when they are the most tender. My mom has always picked them this small. Like mother like daughter. Oh yea - the wine it was good too.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'll catch you on Monday.

That really looks good, Becca. Congratulations on the success with your squash.
Covet ,covet.
I want squash but my plants are wilting. When did you plant?
Laura
They look delicious. I just had some chives from my garden today so fresh and tasty. My favourite in my garden are the blackcurrants, I just cannot wait to feast on them. Visit my spa where you can rest a while, all from the comfort of your own home, no need to pop on a flight to Ireland.
I urgently need pictures for my blog, I love your flowers.
Oh, I am so jealous. Yesterday I was wishing I could have some NOW. Of, course I have to be patient as my plants have a bit to go but its so hard when you see tempting pics like yours and you can almost taste the yummy squash. Have a great squash filled weekend Becca.
Oooh I bet those will be tasty! I've only planted cucumbers this year. I find we dont' actually eat squashes.
It seems like you just planted your vegetables - that was fast!
Squash every thing to come.lol

You are so lucky! I love that yellow squash, I didn't try any this year, I just didn't have the space. Now after seeing yours I wish I did :)
Can you believe I haven't even planted squash yet? (I know, Bad Southern Belle)
Yours are making me very hungry!!!
your squash look good...I love squash...like to cut it up and put in salad...or boil it...fried is good too...but try to stay away from that
Oh YUM! My squash plants are about 6 inches tall - I have a ways to go! At least we have a super long growing season!
What is your trick for keeping borers away? They destroyed all of my squash last year!!!
Here you are eating squash and I haven't planted any yet..They are saying we will have temps in the low 30's tomorrow night and should cover things...I just planted my peppers, tomatoes and egg plants so guess I will need to cover them...I have to buy my squash at the store....
Hugs

Oh, Lucky you! I can actually imagine how wonderful those squash must have tasted. Great photo, it looks like an advertisement. I don't get to grow too much of a variety of veggies down here in tropical Fl.
Thanks for the blog visit this week!
Happy gardening~ Karrita
Your veggies and flowers are so beautiful! Thankyou for coming and visiting today. Com'on back and rock a while have some ice tea :-))
We are our mothers, aren't we??? My mama always taught me to pick the young, tender squash too.
Yes, the young, small ones have the best taste and texture. Picking them causes the plant to produce more, too!
