This and That

I just had to make a post and put up some recent photos. It seems like a while since I put up some flowers. I am so anxious to put in some new plants to replace all the ones that never came up or dried up and died.. I hope I can check out some places that I recently spotted. We'll see.

I have never seen a sunflower this big. It was at least 12" across. It isn't mine but I sure wish it was.
A bunny hopping across the front yard when I arrived home from work. A little fuzzy as I had the zoom as far as I could standing on the front porch.

The chicks at 3 weeks at Mom and Pops. Pop is finishing up their townhomes today. They should be quite happy to have so much room tonight. I will get some new photos this week as they scurry around their new diggs.

This zinnia is holding it's own. It is so resilient even during the draught we have recently experienced. The weather has recently changed to our more seasonable temps and near daily dose of wet stuff.

I am so proud of my cannas. They are also very resilient.

Hope you all have a great day and enjoy some gardening.

I think I saw a Bachelor Button in there too. Cute chicks. My flowers have performed poorly this year due to the every changing weather. That is a pretty Sunflower.

Hi Becca (and Little Buddy). Your flowers are looking great.

Did you ever try to grow canna lilies from seed? They have a hard seed coat, so I put them in boiling water for about 10 minutes, then plant them. They germinate in 5-14 days.

Hi Becca, love Cannas too, very resilient and such elegant, stately flowers in brilliant or soft colours. Little Buddy a cutie as helper and companion.

I visited Jimmy Joe Meeker's house the other day and his mom showed me their garden. It is fantastic. So wish I had a green thumb. I am envious of those of you who can grow stuff and not kill it off.

These are gorgeous! And how wonderful seeing a cute bunny marching across your yard (until you see him munching on your plants). The sunflower is gorgeous and very healthy looking. And BTW, I wanted to let you know that I purchased my own domain name and am officially a dot com. So make sure to change your Reader to www.GardeningWithMissDaisy.com. I hope to continue to see you around.

I'm glad to see your pictures again. I love your cannas too. It's nice to have those flowers that take the tough weather and reward us with such pretty flowers.
Your blog looks great.

Love that cheery sunflower! I always smile when I see a bunny hopping through our yard here.

Love the cannas. Mine get all ugly from bugs eating the blooms.

Hi Becca! You have some tough lovely plants there! Canna is especially cute! Thanks for leaving a comment on my big fish post! That is a King salmon, and you are allowed to catch 1 per day and 2 of them per season. It was hard to reel it in, I'm glad that our guide told me what to do and when. Happy gardening to you and I'll see you around!

Hi, you have beautiful flowers. The sunflower reminds me of living back in MN, where there used to be fields and fields of sunflowers. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
