This and That Weekend

I had a good weekend. Since Friday was calling for rain I planned for a weekend indoors. I picked up some paint and painted my kitchen baseboards and wall splash board behind my sink cabinet. My choice of paint colors got a few people wandering what was I thinking. I painted a light lavender which matches a color in my wallpaper. I know lavender is a color for a bedroom or bathroom not really a kitchen. Well I finished and said to myself - what was I thinking. Oh well this is a girls kitchen and a girls house. I can do anything I want.

My mom was thinking of me while eating at the Cracker Barrell and picked me up a shirt. Isn't it cute. I love it.

Another project was to put this together. The shelving will allow me to do more seeds. I know it is not adequate for all of my needs but it certainly is going to help. The curtain really needs to be removed. I hate to have uncovered windows especially in the bedroom. I'll have to think about this a while.

I thinned the plants again this weekend but may need to do some further thinning. Fellow bloggers you tell me. There are about 3 sprigs in each hole. With the cold weather we are experiencing I think I should delay planting the lettuce and broccoli for another week or two.

I heavily thinned the lettuce but still has 3-5 in each hole. The plants may look a little off kilter here and that is because I had to add more seed starting mix to give them more room for roots.

I have been experiencing a lot of nausea in the mornings for many months. I am able to get up just a little bit of bile. It is getting worse everyday. I am afraid my gall bladder is going to burst if I don't get seen about. I am going to the doctors tomorrow. I do not have any insurance and our hours have been cut badly. I hope that something can be done before it bursts.
I've got to get back to work. Hope you all have a great day.

You had a productive weekend...I would just close the curtains at night and open them in the morning, before long will be covered in plants and you can just leave the curtains open. We you thin your seedlings do you pull out plants or trim the weak ones with scissors...? I'm going to try scrissors this year as not to disturb the roots. I would wait a little while longer before planting your veggies outside. I started mine outside in cell packs and they seem to be fine...I am so sorry to read that you are feeling bad...gall bladder stuff is not fun, so I hear...I pray something can be done for you...the insurance thing just makes me ill for you...Prayers!

Okay, so the plants don't even matter at this point. Sweetie, please go see a doctor. I know insurance is an issue. I can certainly sympathize with that. But a large doctor bill is easier to deal with than even worse physcial problems. I'm worried about you hun. Please get medical help.

Well I'm glad you said you are going to the Dr. tomorrow. Your health is important.
Your starts look good. I haven't even started anything yet - think I'm chicken and here I have so many great seeds to plant. Ok I'll get with the program. What's the worst that could happen? They won't come up. LOL

Nothing wrong with a lavender kitchen, I say! :)

I had my gallbladder out 8 years ago when I was 20 years old. Gallbladder attacks are some of the worst pain anyone can experience, I felt like an alien was going to burst out of my stomach. I hope you go get checked out soon. You'll feel so much better when it's out :)

Is it your gall bladder or could it be acid reflux? Which ever, I hope you are feeling better soon.

I hope you're feeling better soon. I'm glad you're seeing the doctor tomorrow, I'll send you lots of good thoughts that it's something that is easy to take care of.
I think I would just open and close the curtains like Darla said. It sure does give you lots of seed starting space.
