The Doctors Office

After worrying so much about this test the doctor says 'it was all a mistake'. What! You see come to find out she said I should never have had a pap smear since I had my uterus removed back in the 80's and it wasn't due to cancer. The doctor said after the cervix is removed there is no chance of cancer to an organ that isn't there anymore. Pap smears are to detect cancer in the cervix. The pap smear abnormal cells were because of a bacterial and viral infection. I am so relieved that everything is good. Too bad I had to worry so but at least all is well.

Thank you ALL for your prayers and thoughts. I love all of you.

Oh Becca ~ What a relief! Incompetence in others does cause us worry and grief at times.

Have a great rest of the week and a lovely Easter.

Yes that is the case. Just think one more thing you do not have to do anymore. That was how I thought about it. Hope Easter is good for you.

Hi Becca, I did leave a message on my blog for you after your comment. But I thought it's about time I paid you a visit too, and I'm glad I did. Poor you ! what a lot of worry that could have been avoided had the doctor read your medical notes properly. I am so glad all is well.
Take care

What a relief. It sure would have been nice to know that to put your mind at ease so you wouldn't have to spend so much time worrying. I have an appointment for in a couple of weeks for a breast lump so I can totally relate.

Becca: Even though my Prostate was removed because of cancer they still check to see if the PSA is okay. We aren't the doctors and they should know.
