Bloomin' Tuesday - Bellingrath Gardens

Head on over to Jean's and see what else is a bloomin this Tuesday.

I recently heard from the friend I had written about before and we headed on over to Bellingrath Gardens. This was the first time I have been to the Gardens and there was hardly anything blooming. No daffodils and hardly any azaleas. I suppose they peaked a couple of weeks ago. I will be going back and will share more of the gardens and about Mr and Mrs Bellingrath and their home. Time does not permit this morning.

This is going into the Gardens.

This fountain is called Rebecca so naturally I had to have a photo.

This past weekend was to be the Annual Rose Show. Due to the severe weather we had over the winter they said they had to cancel the show. But here are a few that were blooming.

Some hydrangea's were blooming. They were so beautiful and about the size of a basketball.

I have another new daffodil. Check this one out. It looks like the sun is shining on it it is so bright. It truly is this color with the yellow tips on the petals.

Azaleas in front of my house yesterday - this is at their peak. My neighborhood is just now peaking.

Hope you have a great day.

The Azaleas put on quite a show! Just gorgeous! They're peaking now in my area to. No hydrangeas yet thought.

The Bellingrath Gardens entrance looks beautiful and I'll look forward to seeing more photos.

Stunning! I've been to Bellingrath only once before and that was about 15 years ago. I'd love to visit again.

I'm real concerned about our azaleas. We just planted them last Spring and my MM covered them over the Winter and uncovered them a couple of weeks ago. There is a lot of dead looking stuff and they look nothing like yours. They have a 1 year guarantee so I'm waiting a couple of weeks and if they don't improve they are being replaced. Love your daffodils too. Obviously a nice camera :)

Wow, Becca the azaleas are so gorgeous! And I naturally drool over hydrangeas. The daffodil is so pretty with its touches of yellow and double bloom. Wonderful blooms for Blooming Tuesday.

Hi Becca, That Daffodil (according to my Breck's catalog) is named White Lion. It is gorgeous --and we don't have it yet...We have 3 others similar --but are different colors.

Love your azaleas... Ours are just getting ready to bloom. The Hydrangeas are also gorgeous....

Great photo of you at "YOUR" fountain..... Isn't that nice to have a fountain named after you????

The gardens are gorgeous --but that was sad about the rose show... We lost some this winter also--due to the bitter conditions.

Have a great week.
Hugs,
Betsy

The gardens look like a beautiful place even if there wasn't a whole lot in bloom. I love that first picture. The fountain is really pretty too.
Your azaleas are amazing, I love the color.

Very beautiful. I wanted to visit the Elizabethan Gardens out on Roanoke Island a few years ago, but they were closing right when we got there. I've still never been there, and it's only a couple of hours from where I grew up!

Beautiful gardens Becca. No wonder we all work so hard to achieve beautiful gardens. The bar is set so high and it's fun trying to reach it.

Becca everything just looks so beautiful!! I like your namesake fountain, I love water features. The azaleas are always so pretty.Cherry blossoms have just finished here, now we are onto the dogwoods & lilacs ( due to that short hot spell we had, everything now is blooming early, probably by 2 wks.) Azaleas here are just starting .... It all starts to go too fast! See you on Fertilizer Friday :)

Hi Becca. My hubby is from Mobile, and he's talked of Bellingrath a lot. We were in Mobile a few years ago, but didn't get to the garden, because I had to go see the gators. Next time FOR SURE! I so covet the azaleas. Your region is so lush and gorgeous.

I haven't been to Bellingrath's in years. The Botanical Gardens' azaleas were at their peak about two weeks ago. I got some lovely photos. Also, midtown Mobile along Springhill Avenue was gorgeous.

Absolutely gorgeous! My family and I went to Bellingrath Gardens when I was younger. I'm 50 now, so that was many, many moons ago now. I enjoyed seeing all of your flowers in your journal.

I saw one water feature in this garden. There are more garden decor available for this like garden gnomes, stake, lighting and solar powered garden fountains
