Being Thankful

I just hate it when I start whining. So the opposite is gratefulness. I should stop the whining and be thankful for what I do have. I am thankful that my health is OK inspite of a few issues. I am thankful that I have a job even if I am only working 30 hrs a week. I am thankful that I have enough money to pay my immediate bills. I am thankful that my family is currently experiencing no immediate health issues. I am thankful for the rain today to water my new babies in the ground. I am thankful that my car is getting me where I need to go without any immediate issues. I am just thankful. God has blessed me.

Be Thankful
Be thankful that you don't already have everthing you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you the opportunities for improvment.
Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary
Because it means you've made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are
also thankful for the setbacks.
GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessings.

It was an unknown wise person who wrote this poem. It speaks volumes to me. Hope you all have a great day.

Hi Becca ~ It is so easy for us to dwell on the negatives in our lives, instead of counting our blessings.

Blogging has really helped me to appreciate just what I do have and I am thankful for everyones kind comments.

Each day is a gift and that piece you quoted by the unknown author was great.

Have a lovely rest of the day and a great weekend ~ FlowerLady

My mom used to say that there are people in the world that have things worse than I do. I would respond, "Yes, but I'm not with those people!" It's hard not to focus on your own problems, especially when they often seem to come in waves. I'm glad you are trying to be positive and grateful. I hope all things work out for you, and your health and income improve soon.
