Bloomin' Tuesday

Good Morning blogging buddies. It's Bloomin' Tuesday over at Jeans http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com/. Ya'll head over and check out others participating in today's party.

There are tons of buds on the Johnsons Blue Geranium. I am loving this and expect it to bloom right on into the fall or first freeze.
I love the the color on this Dianthus.
I have to keep showing off the daffodils. They just keep on giving this year. Everyone else's daffodils have tuckered out by now.

This is the last photos of the lovely azalea. All of the blooms were knocked off yesterday during our heavy rains.

The blueberries will be fantastic this year. The bush is loaded more than last year. The entire bush looks like this.
Peaches on the other hand not so good. Look how they are rotting on the bush before they even get started good. I know the tree has some sort of disease. I have to treat that but it sure didn't affect the blooms earlier in the year.

I have this space that was tilled up a while back and I still haven't decided just what I want to do with this. I have ideas of designing a garden here maybe with a center and four corners to blend in. Maybe with a gravel walk area. OR maybe a rose garden. This area receives about 8 hrs of sun each day. This will take a few bucks so I'll have to save up. The area would be useless otherwise because the area is not level to the outer areas due to removing so much grass debris.

Buddy was carrying on the night before and this must have been what he heard. The deer are coming up the house in the back this year. Note the potential garden area in the previous photo would be susceptable to the deer. So that would have to be considered.
Well that's about it. Hope you all have a good day.

Thinking of our buddies up in Tennessee and sending prayers your way. What horrible floods you are all dealing with.

Your garden is looking lovely. Sad about the peaches. I have lots of small apples so I am hoping that they will survive. It was very cold today, with a very strong wind and I hope that my seedlings are going to be OK. My azaleas were very sad this year and not worth a photo. Diane

Hi Becca. Daffodils are pretty much gone in my neighborhood. Your daffodils are still quite beautiful. Azaleas are blooming now, as are the blueberry bushes. We don't have the berries yet on our blueberry bushes. Your azaleas are gorgeous; they remind me of miniature roses.

Blueberries and Daffodils, so jealous! :) My Daffs are long gone.

Well, I had things to say but now I'm still cracking up after seeing your picture in reference to the deer. I take it they were camera shy so ya had to shoot the next best thing? Or not! I love it especially because I had that same picture up by one of my flower beds the other day!!!
I love your Johnson's Blue but especially love it next to that fuchsia colored Dianthus below it. And that one Daffodil is beautiful - the one that looks fluffy in the center. Boy are they putting on a show!
My Johnson's Blue Geranium may not bloom as good as usual because it looks like it's been chewed off. Although we used our deer repellent we've had a lot of rain and the deer checked back to see if we had screwed up - and we had! So much hard rain must have washed it off because usually it lasts through the wet stuff.

Looking good Becca. Go ahead and dig up that second Daff and mail it to me right away, lol. It's gorgeous!! They make stuff you can spray to repel deer, probably some homemade remedies on the net...

Sorry to hear about the peaches. It is so exciting to start a new bed. I am looking forward to see what you do with it.

What beautiful flowers. I especially like the contrast between the blue geranium and the dianthus. That is too sad about your peaches. Hopefully, you will be able to treat them :-)

Your daffodils are still beautiful!

I love the idea of a shaped garden with a walk(spent too much time in them in williamsburg, VA), but I think roses are less likely to be eaten by the deer. Perhaps a shaped rose garden. I like your idea of having a center bed and four corner beds.

Enjoyed the peek into what is flowering in your garden. Deer can be such a pest even tho they are so pretty to look at.

Not sure what's up with your peaches. How do you keep the birds from eating all your blueberries??

I vote for a rose garden!

It's a shame about your peaches. I so enjoy seeing all your daffodil varieties. The color of your azaela is stunning. Mine just opened today so I'll show it next week. Happy Bloomin' Tuesday! Jean

Becca, a rose garden would be like a dessert table for the deer. They love 'um.

Oh. I bet you will miss those beautiful azalea blooms. I thought they were so pretty. I cannot believe you still have daffodils. You go girl. LOL! That is a lovely color in the dianthus. Does it have a fragrance Becca?

To bad about the peach tree but those blueberries sure will be good.

I love that Dianthus! The colour is much stronger than what I have. I am sure no one will miss this flower in your garden :-D

Becca, have you finished all that you need to do in your garden yet? In any case, happy gardening and enjoy the fruit of your labour :-D

HI BECCA,
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY TO SEE ME. I'M SORRY I DO NOT GET BY MUCH BUT I AM GOING TO TRY TO DO BETTER.
YOUR FLOWERS ARE BEAUTIFUL.
IF I HAD THAT PLOT OF YOURS....I WOULD PUT TWO BIRD BATHS...A KOI POND AND WILD FLOWERS TO ATTRACT BUTTERFLIES..I WOULD PUT A WHITE PICKET FENCE AROUND IT WITH AN ARBOR GATE YOU ENTER THROUGH. THERE WOULD BE STEPPING STONES AND I CAN SEE IT DONE...DREAMING....BUT YOU COULD DO IT IN STAGES.
I AM SO VERY SORRY ABOUT THE FLOODING AND LOSS OF LIFE AND THE OIL THAT KEEPS SPILLING INTO THE OCEAN...THAT REALLY ANGERS ME.
HAVE A GOOD WEEK MY FRIEND.
I ENJOYED MY VISIT.

I am amazed that you still have daffodils and I love the deer poop at the end of your post, only a gardener show do that.
That is really too bad about your peaches. Maybe you should plant some dwarf trees in your new space. Have a great week. Meg

Your flowers are so bright and cheerful! And I can't believe how far ahead your Blueberries are, looks like you'll have lots!

You asked about my pond, and it's not really under any trees other than the apple tree. Our neighbors used to have a huge Maple that would drop all sorts of stuff in the pond, but luckily it's gone now. It probably depends on the type of tree. If it's a type that drops lots of seeds and leaves it could be a lot of work to keep clean, but it looks like you have lots of space to work with. The pond is a lot fun and you can make it as small and easy to take care of as you want.

Hi Becca, I wish I knew the secret to keeping my Johnson blue geranium blooming until frost. I like it but it doesn't bloom very long in my garden.

Love your dianthus. I had d. Fire Witch a few years ago and it never survived the first winter. Disappointing because it sure was pretty.
