I absolutely love potulaca. They are such good growers and adds some nice foliage with other plants. And I love that it blooms different colors.
The zinnias are taking off. The plants are loaded and I have a good many this year. Love the soft shade of pink. They are small blooms.
This one is more fushia or dark pink.
Breadseed poppies are loaded with buds. This is my first experience with poppies and can't wait to see them bloom.
This is new plantings in this small garden. This is the bed I had broccoli and lettuce. I pulled up all the lettuce and broccoli because I didn't like the taste of the lettuce and the broccoli didn't produce anything so... I did what I needed to do. In this bed I have Johnny Jump Ups, Yellow Columbine, Daisy's, Pansy's, Purple Balloon Flowers.

We had masses of portulaca and zinnias in our garden in South Africa, they always are so colourful.
Our daffodils are long gone, also the poppies in the garden. The wild poppies are all coming out down the sides of the roads though and give so much colour. Diane
Portulaca is one plant that doesn't do well here. I've planted it many times and it just sits and sulks. Yours certainly look happy.

Your garden is lovely. I love portulaca too and haven't had any for years. After looking at yours I need to rethink that!
Never met a Zinnia I didn't like. Great new beds...you are going to LOVE the poppies!!!
Becca nice to see what is blooming in your garden , so far ahead of mine. Portulaca is so cheery. Love it.
I forgot to scatter some Zinnia seeds, maybe there is still time. I love your shades of pink. :)

Becca, I've never had zinnia and every time I see them I wonder why. lol! Looks like you plant most things by seeds. I'm too impatient for that. Can't wait to see everything blooming! Jean
Everything looks nice and healthy!
I really love the hot pink zinnias!!
Becca, those zinnias look just wonderful! I planted some this year and right now they are puny. Still can't believe you have daffodils blooming!
I love your zinna's! They are wonderful colors. Your new garden area looks like a fun shape - I look forward to seeing it grow this summer. Thanks for sharing your pix.

Hi Becca! Your zinnias are so lovely! Mine are just babies. I love portulaca too, they are reminders of my childhood.
I just saw one familiar flower. I have portulaca as well... yippee! This plant is really popular here and grows really well in our hot tropical weather :-D
Looks like the daffodil really like your place also. I must say that the bloom is really pretty and yes, why not show the flowers till they die ha ha...
Wow, everything looks great!
Hi Becca, I love your Potulaca. I may have to get some of them. Love the foliage along with the different colored blooms.
My mother grew zennias so they are special to me.
Have a great day.

I am passing one on to you. I dont' know the Blog Award do's and don'ts so you can do what you want with this. Put it on your blog and go with it or not. But I wanted you to know I really enjoy your blog!

Becca ~ Your florals are gorgeous. I haven't done portulacas in 35 years ... zinnias were a favorite back in the 40s thru 60s ... I put a couple in this year.
Have a lovely day.
