He leaves a nice imprint here. They'll bounce back.
Now he wants me rub his belly. He is apologizing now.
Everyday the weatherman predicts the Gulf Oil Spill as if he were predicting a hurricane. The winds are coming out of the north and will be a few more days. As of this morning the spill has moved off a little to the south and west. It is still a threat but it is a ways off. There is so much preparation by all kinds of local organizations to prevent the oil from washing ashore in the bayous and bays and rivers. There are areas set up now and being set up in other areas for the animals should they be found with any oil on them. So far we have had turtles wash up but there is no evidence to show they died from oil contamination. Volunteers are gathering at the beaches and cleaning up debris. Debri soaked with oil is very hard to clean up.
This morning the 4 story high dome that is going to be placed beside the oil leak is on its way. It will take 12 hours to reach the spill and 2-3 days to set up. This procedure has worked before but never at this depth which is about 3-4 miles down. What they hope to do with this is to re-direct the leak into a funnel to be delivered to a ship on the surface. One of the sources of the leak has been capped but that did not change the amount of oil still spewing.
We are all keeping our fingers crossed that this works.
What a mess in Tennessee. A couple of bloggers have posted about the floods and folks there are folks who have lost everything. Water is so damaging and with it comes the mud. Even though I've been through floods where we live my home has never been flooded. Our prayers are with you all as you recover.

I love Buddy he is cute.
The oil spill is bad news, I just hope they do not lose to many animals, but what about the fish! While typing this they are updating the news on the oil.
Sad when people lose their homes in any way, we must just pray that they can get sorted out with few problems. Diane
Buddy is so cute! As far as the bad news across our country....pray!
I can hardly stand to listen to the news reports. When I think of the suffering and death this oil will cause our coastal birds it makes me sick.
Other countries have safety equipment to prevent this type of disaster--not our country. We certainly would not want to deprive the oil companies of a few pennies of profit.

Buddy is so cute...even when smashing your garden.
I don't watch much of the news, so I appreciate your update on the oil situation. IT is so sad...such a huge issue for our waters, animals, and shoreline.
Sending prayers for folks in TN too.
Love your Buddy , what a doll:) Hope all goes well for Everyone!
I am so sad about the way bad government is managing all of the things that are happening to our wonderful home America
today is prayer day so less ask God to give us a government that will want to keep us safe and not stuff there pockets full.

It is a sad state of affairs..too bad we won't pop back from this as easily as your poppies..:(
I'm keeping my fingers crossed too about that oil spill. That is, IMHO, a bigger tragedy than our floods. The land and people will recover completely in perhaps one or two years, but an oil spill in your area might take a hundred years to recover and had a wider impact. This world has been a crazy place lately. Thanks for the info on the cap. I wasn't sure if they capped off that one well or not and am glad to hear they were successful. Best wishes it stays off shore and thanks for your well wishes for Skeeter.
Becca: This is a necessary evil with the oil. Maybe someday it won't be necessary. Fun shots of your pup, I'm sure he brings much joy.
Your little pup is so cute!! I can just feel how soft he must be by looking at the pictures.
Prayers for your area as well. I remember the Exxon Valdez incident. Now to find out the clean up was as toxic as the spill. Oy!
That little Buddy looks like he could get away with murder with looks like that.
Very sweet doggy. I think my dog could swallow your dog whole....lol
(I bet he is easier to clean up after...hahahaha.
Oh Buddy, you are so cute! I'll rub your belly for you. LOL
That oil spill is just a terrible disaster. So many are going to be hurt by it and animals too. And to think a $5,000 dollar valve that could have been attached when built could have saved the spilling out of most of it. BP will wish they had spent the money for the valves.
Bad Buddy LOL! He knows mommy isn't going to paddle him. He is sucking up big time ;-)
Buddy is such a cutie!
I hope things work out with cleaning up the oil spill. I can't imagine how many sea creatures are being harmed by it all.
Buddy is adorable...so sad about all the losses for people in Tennessee and the fisherman in the coast....
Buddy is soooo CUTE!!!
The oil spill is a terrible disaster and I hope they can get it capped. It is going to affect so many people and animals. Hopefully, it will get contained soon.
