Fertilizer Friday - TGIF

Good Morning blogging buddies. It's Friday and ya'll know what that means. It's time to get together over at Tootsie Time and check out everyone's blooms they are sharing today. Check out Tootsie here http://www.tootsietime.com/

I have a few things to share today. I have to share this cutie. Little Buddy.

I am so in love with this hydrangea. This flower has gone from a pale pink and just keeps putting on the prettiest shades of pink. I am eager to purchase more hydrangea's. They are such a hardy plant. This particular one is a young bush from last year.

I love the way the Johnsons Blue Geranium blends with the dusty miller. Oops I got my toes in this one.
Love zinnias. They show off all summer long.

I soon will have some Blue Forget Me Knots. Thanks Darla.

Yellow viola's are still doing very well.

Verbena.

Ooohh and I must have more dahlias next year. I am so loving these.

More white zinnias.

More zinnias. Darla I do not know which ones you sent as they all kinda mingled in the beds. They certainly keep color in the beds.

Can't believe I still have some snapdragons putting on a show.
I soon will have a yellow canna to open.
The okra hibuscus will soon have blooms. Thanks Darla.

Well that's about all I have to share today.
I am feeling better after a week of feeling not so good. I spent last Friday at the hospital again. That is 4 times this year. The gallbladder is full of stones and sludge. The only reason that it wasn't removed last Friday at the ER is that even though there were more stones than the last time it didn't warrant an emergency operation. I will be trying to get into a state clinic to see what they can do for me. Otherwise I wait till it is an emergency. I do not have any funds to do any different since I barely pay my bills. Ya'll don't feel sorry for me though. It'll all work itself out. I always have faith. The good Lord knows exactly what my needs are.
The oil spill is on our minds daily. Everytime we turn on the news it is the headlines. Hope I do not bore you to death with videos but here is one that I watched and cried about these poor animals that are so helpless to what man's greed for oil has caused these poor babies. It is pure and simple oil greed. There is nothing we can do but learn from this. And I hope that WE can find better and less harmful ways of generating energy. There is so much clean up to be done and this will go on for years to come just like the Valdez spill they are still feeling the effects of the oil spill.
Hope you all have a great weekend and have some good weather. We will have a partly good weather weekend.

Buddy is so cute! Gracie had to have some dental surgery a couple of weeks ago and she finally got a haircut and is feeling back to her old self.
It's fun seeing how far ahead your garden is and what I still have to look forward to. It still hasn't been warm enough to start my poor Zinnias.
I hope you are feeling better :)
It's horrible about the oil spill. Each time it comes on the news I'm hoping they'll have some good news about stopping the flow. I feel so bad for the impact it's having on wildlife and all the peoples livelihood that is being affected.

Oh Becca, I'm sorry but I do feel bad for you. You are the primary reason that we need some changes made to our healthcare system. I'm not sure what they are doing is what we need ---but we do need changes FOR SURE... I'm just sorry you have to go through so much pain. Because of what happened to my knee, I know about PAIN---and it's HELL.

Anyhow---your flowers are gorgeous. The Zinnias, the Dahlias, the Verbena, and the Hydrangeas are fabulous.

Love your Little Buddy... I'm sure he is the love of your life.

Hang in there, Friend... I pray for your pain to go away.
Hugs,
Betsy

Love all of your beautiful color. Do you start your zinnias from seed? If so do you start them inside?

That hydrangea is amazing! Hope you get the help you need to stay healthy! Have a fun weekend!

So sorry you are still not feeling well. I hope they can operate soon and get rid of those stones!

Your garden is beautiful. My hydrangeas are still tight buds!

I sure do hope you get well, soon. One way or another. You're in my prayers. Beautiful blooms. I've been watching the news on the oil spill every day. Altho I live in MO, it just sickens me. I think of all the dead fish and wild life that we can't see under the ocean. Lord only knows what health problems this is going to have on people. I don't believe we have ever invested enough money towards alternative energy like we should have. But I'll get off my soap box. Again, I hope you're feeling better soon.

Lovely! My grandmom always said you could never get a pure white zinnia, I wish she could have seen these-enjoy!

Your flowers are gorgeous, Becca. And your toes are pretty too! :D

The oil spill is so devastating and horrifying. I can't even imagine all the damage that has been done.

The dahlias are beautiful, and so is your dog. Love your hydrangea, too. Did you know that if the soil is alkaline, it will bloom pink and if it's acidic, it will bloom blue. I modify my soil to have some pink and some blue - what fun that is as I experiment!
The oil spill is a horrific disaster!!! It is so sad what is happening to our environment and the animals. Take care and hope you feel better, Becca.

Hi, I'm visiting from Fertilizer Friday. Your blooms are beautiful!
I noticed your ad for Hometown Seeds and plant to check them out.
I'll be keeping you in my prayers. I've been through the whole gall bladder thing ( no insuranve either) and know how painful it is! I'd rather go through childbirth!
Have a great weekend!

I'm glad your feeling better...my daughter is in the same boat as you, she had to go the emergency room after exhausting all other resources for a kidney stone last week...$1600 later...fortunately they waived $1000.00 but that still leaves her with over $500 to pay. Your faith is in the right place...He will provide!

Becca, sorry about your health/financial issues, tough times all around..Head up, chest out! Hydrangeas are so expensive you should just take cuttings and root them from the one you have. Your ornamental okra is so far ahead of mine, yours look better too. Just beautiful, all of it! I'm buying more dahlias too!

So sorry to hear you're not feeling well! Hope that you find relief soon.

Your flowers are looking great though :)

Hi Becca. I was so hoping you were feeling better. These old gallbladders can be mean. You be careful with it now because they can burst. The oil spill is just so devastating. My heart just breaks at all of the beauty and nature it is destroying. And those poor people who make a living in the waters there it is just awful. It is destroying a whole way of life for so many.

Your flowers are looking prettier every posting. I really like the white zinnia blooms and your purple geranium with the Dusty Miller is such a pretty combination.
Have a good weekend and you take care of yourself.

Hi Becca,
It doesn't make sense to me that you have to wait for it to be an emergency to get your surgery. Who decides when it's an emergency? Can you get another opinion? Of course, that takes money, too.

I enjoyed seeing your blooms as I read down to see where I left off last. If I picked a favorite today, it may be the hydrangea, but I love them all. Snapdragons are another favorite of mine.

I also feel your pain and horror about the oil, ocean, and critters. I kept saying they should be rounded up before the oil comes, and not after the damage has been done, but what do I know?

Well, I hope if there is an emergency, you don't have to experience much pain, and you get good care. I just said a prayer for you. You are right, that you are in God's hands.

Oh, and Buddy is a sweetie!

Lovely Dahlias! Such a pleasing color.
I am glad you are feeling somewhat better..that gallbladder pain is something else..I was down to eating soda crackers and seven up before they finally ripped mine out. I did feel so much better right away after the surgery, but there are still some things I cannot eat.
Your updates on the oil are sad, but it keeps it real:(
