Update on Mom

An update on mom. She had the hip surgery on Wed afternoon and a pin was placed in the bone. She is actually doing very well from the surgery so far. She has been confused and disoriented I think from the anesthesia. The doctor and nurses were thinking that is isn't the lingering effects of the anesthesia. I think they are wrong. I spent the night with her last night and she seemed a bit better this morning. We'll have to see. I'll be there again tonight to watch over her. Pop needs this break as he is old and can't do what he's been used to.

I am feeling much better.

Seems like a lot going on these days. To add to the mix Pops grandson broke his arm on Monday as well and required surgery. The grandson's mom (Pops daughter) passed away last year so it is up to Pop to look after these boys. It's a lot.

Thanks to all of you have prayed for Mom and the family. Prayer makes a difference.

Hope you all have a lovely and blessed weekend.

Hi Becca, I am glad to hear it is going as good as can be expected. Sometimes the elderly are easily confused in different settings..anytime they have to be moved from one place to another or spend time in the hospital they can become confused for a few days. I am sure she will bounce back to normal soon..hang in there:)

I was just flipping through the posts quickly as due to a family bereavement I have had little time to look at the computer.

I am so sory about your mother, hope all is well and she improves quickly.

Also Pop's grandson's arm hopefully heals quickly.

My thoughts are with Becca. Hang in there. Diane
