Signs

After seeing that Darla has some things sprouting up I decided to check what I could find. Actually I only found a couple of things. Hyancinth. These were the prettiest things I've ever seen. Oh but then there are the poppies and oh the .... well you get the picture.
Daffodils will be blooming in the next 5-7 weeks.
 Mushrooms. Don't they look wierd.
I was thinking this might be poppies but if so they are everywhere. Not so sure. I'm gonna check last years post... should've done that first. I checked last years photos and it looks like poppies.
Well I'm glad to have a new year. I have high hopes and plans for this year. I plan to put in at least one but plan on two new gardens this year. Will be getting started on that soon.

Have a great Monday.

Wonderful signs of things to come. Some of those seedlings look a little like henbit, a weed, you'll know very soon though. They will get little purple flowers.

I love the wee peeks coming thru. My ground is like a rock & not showing any signs of release to growth.

I can almost smell those hyacinths! The ground is covered in snow still here, I can't wait to see if there are any surprises under it.

Becca, it looks so good to see green coming up in the garden. We lost our snow cover, but our winter is not over yet.

AH----I'm jealous... You have so many things beginning to sprout already... Spring will come to you before it comes to me I'm sure. BUT--the good news is that we WILL have SPRING... Yeah!!!!

I love the planning stage. I took a couple of days of mid month to clean up the gardens and cut everything way back. Spring will be here in California before you know it. Did you get your sewing machine going?

Becca, I'm so glad someone posted about the their new found sprouts in their garden! I had new shoots from my Daffodils in November! But our second coldest December on record has killed them back again. I hope they will renew themselves by March!!!

Walking around the gardens to see what is growing at the beginning of Spring is my favorite thing to do. I get so excited. I wish I could grow the early bulbs but the BAD bunnies eat them as fast as they grow.

Hi Becca,
In the past, I would have been feeling sorry for myself because our spring is so far away. But, just now, when I saw your photos, I experienced joy, because there is new spring growth starting somewhere. I will enjoy seeing spring unfold in warmer places, and anticipate ours coming in time.

I made some progress cleaning today, but still have a ways to go.
