This n That

Hey everybody - I'm still here. I know you haven't been hearing much from me lately. I'm just so busy at work right now. That's really a good thing. It means that work is picking up and that means more people are working. It is the beginning of the year and most of you know that I am an accountant so you know what that means. Busy busy.

I am ashamed to say that I haven't made into the gardens yet this year. My gardens are in real need of attention. I have noticed new growth and signs of spring coming. The peach trees have little pink tips and that means in probably 4 weeks or less I'll have blooms on the tree. Spring is just around the corner and I know that all of you gardening buddies have hands itching to get into the soil. I'm hoping for some time in the yard this weekend.

I'll be getting a new stove delivered on Saturday. Yea! I'm so tired of cooking with only 2 eyes working. It's only me but still. I'll be a cooking this weekend.

I was thinking about something this morning. Do you remember (of course you do) when you fell in love and you felt like your world was coming together so happily. Do you remember that this person you loved so much just made you want to be a better person. Do you remember that that feeling wasn't about sex at all but true love and devotion. Do you remember how you looked forward to waking up with them in the morning and looking forward to spending your day together just being together.

I was thinking about this in regards to my relationship with Jesus. He just makes me want to be a better person. He makes me look forward to waking up and going about my day knowing that He is with me. I'm just saying....

Have you guys figured out that I love taking photos of the sky and clouds. I love clouds. There is so much interest in watching them.

At the beginning of year Buddy and I have started walking again on the trail by my house. It is feeling so good and am looking forward to getting home everyday and putting on my walking shoes. I tell Buddy "do you want to go for a walk" and he starts stretching and goes to the door and waits. Just so cute. It feels good to me and I know Buddy feels better too. I switched his food to Beneful Healthy weight. He may be losing a little. We'll soon go in for the annual vaccines and see. The vet never said anything about him needing to lose weight but he does eat a lot for a little one who doesn't get much activity.

This last photo was this mornings drive to work. Peaceful.

The weather is nicing up down here on the coast. Expected highs coming up over the next 7 days is warming up to 70 on Monday. This just makes one yearn for spring.

Well that's about it for me. I am wishing you all a wonderful weekend filled with lots of love and good memories.

Today I am thankful for praying ladies. What a blessing...

Your write is so filled with love & beauty, Becca. You can share all the sky photos you wish, I too love taking them ... it brings back those lazy hazy crazy days of youth spent day dreaming on the lawn watching the clouds pass by ...

We had a fabulous blizzard yesterday, 15" of that gorgeous fluffy stuff ... yippee!

Have a great day ~

Hurray for a new stove! I love your cloud pictures, Becca. I am always watching them and taking pictures of them too. 70 degrees sounds great to me. I'm so tired of the snow here. I'd much rather walk outside, but I've been walking on the track at the Y until we get some warmer temperatures. I hope you have a good weekend and can find the time to work in your yard.

So nice Becca.

I too haven't planned the garden yet, but it is hard to think spring with yet another 1 1/2" (or there abouts) of snow on the ground.

I Love clouds too!

Becca, you are really warming up. We are still under the cover of snow and no warm up in the near future. Buddy sounds like such a cutie, my dogs loves to go for a walk also. I feel sorry for him in the winter because he is too small of a dog to be out in the cold.

It sounds like you are feeling good right now, glad to hear that! I wonder if the walks for Buddy have been making you feel better too? They are paying off for both of you. I would be very happy for a new stove too, when you have one that works well it makes cooking much more enjoyable.
Your weather looks and sounds wonderful. I can't even imagine when we'll hit 70, months from now.

Stopping by to say Hi! I am little jealous of your sunshine. Here in Northern CA we have been enduring lots of fog and very little sunshine. It seems like it has been eternity since the sun has come out.

Ooooh a new stove. That is on my wishlist but in my typical fashion I can't settle for just your average stove...NOOOO the one I want costs...well I am not going to say. I will just say it would cost me my Hawaii vacation.
Take care. Big weekend hugs, Sue

Glad to hear that work is picking up for you. I do hope the economy is really getting back on track. Heaven knows we need it to be. And I love your photos of the sky & clouds. Reminds me of my son. He loves taking photos of clouds and the sky. It is a spectacular thing to photograph. Thanks for stopping by my blog & for leaving a comment. I really appreciate it.

I'm with you on enjoying seeing and taking photos of the sky. I think your last one is my favorite of this post.

I love what you said about our relationship with Jesus. I had that strong love attachment for a number of years after receiving faith as an adult. Since then, I've done some drifting away, never losing my faith, but not being in the Word as much, and taking God for granted. I always pray off and on throughout the day, but my intention to focus on the Word has been substituted with the computer, TV, and such. In the last few weeks, I have been back in the Word, and even though there are days the time goes by, and I don't get it done, they are way fewer than they used to be. I have more peace, which I'm very thankful for.

Oh, and I joined a cell group Bible study that meets twice a month. I've been once, and now, the second lesson is one that is very personal to me, and is reminding me of Jesus's strong love for me.
