Happy Friday and the Winner Is...

I hope you don't mind but I chose two winners today. Actually they were drawn from a batch of numbers.

And the winners are Catherine at A Gardener in Progress http://agardenerinprogress.blogspot.com/ and Pattie at Our Hollyhock Farm  http://myblog-bratti.blogspot.com/ . Ya'll go check them out. Catherine has been a long time follower and grows the prettiest flowers. Right now she is re-doing her front yard and I can't wait to see how pretty it will be. Catherine also has a beautiful Koi pond and her lilies are stunning. Pattie has a relatively new blog. She loves her flowers and home decorating and has some beautiful animals too. Pattie also into yard sales and junking. Loads of fun and ideas. Ladies my email is on my sidebar and I need you to email me your address and if you prefer decaf or the real kicking stuff.

I just couldn't get a clear photo this morning. Guess my hands are shaky this morning. Just wanted to throw in a flower or two. I'm loving the blue on this hyancinth. This is the first bloom on the new blue ones I just bought. Beautiful next to the purple nemesia.

And next to the pink hyancinth.

I splurged on myself yesterday. I spent three hours at the beauty salon and had my second professional hair color. I've colored my hair since I was 14 and always did it myself. I'm thinking it may not be my last.

BEFORE....

AFTER. (I hate my photos. I think I don't really look like that. I'm much better looking than that.) Here my face is pink from the waxing too. I hate that painful part. I was tearing so bad I lost all my makeup.

Too bad you can't see the sign. It says $3.45 per gallon. Last night it was $3.35 and I decided to wait to get fuel. Darnit I don't know what I'm gonna do when it cost me more to go and buy at the grocery stores and everywhere else I have to go. I heard this morning on the news how the cost of groceries have had the greatest increase in many years. The economists are saying that we should expect fuel to be $5 a gallon soon. How will we make it - I guess by letting some other things go.

I hope you are having a good day and have a wonderful weekend wherever you are.

Today I am thankful for the rain that is coming to water my seeds.

Becca, your flowers are so pretty. I like those cheery colors.

Your hair looks very nice. I've never had my hair colored professionally. I just do it myself at home. Sometimes I'm satisfied with the results, and sometimes, not so much! HA! Enjoy your weekend! :-)

I won't even tell you how much fuel is in the UK it is ridiculous!!!
Take care, have a good weekend, Diane

Congrats to the winners. I love Catherine and her blog. I'll check out Patti. Your garden area looks really healthy...love your new cut! I don't know if I could sit for that long at a salon...with the price of everything going up and 4 children still at home, I'll be doing a lot more recuing plants from the discount racks and collecting seeds like crazy!

Good morning Becca! Congrats to the winners and I know they are going to enjoy that coffee. I like your hair color. I am letting mine go gray so I can get use to it a little at a time and then it wouldn't be such a shock if I had colored it and then stopped. LOL! My aunt went from black to gray and it was a shocker.LOL!
Your flowers are doing so well and look so pretty. Have a great weekend.

Becca your hair looks great! And congratulations to the winners. Yes, everything is going up. In fact Bob bought our Costco Columbian Coffee yesterday and it's gone up so high I'm going to go buy fresh ground. They'll miss me . . . ;-)

Becca, I love the hair color and the new style. The bangs are very flattering. I am so jealous of those blooms, still seeing a little snow mound in the back garden.

Your hair looks adorable. I'm so ready for spring and gardening. Our gas is 3.89 for the cheap stuff. OUCH!

Congratulations on the winners! I have never colored my hair - too afraid! My sisters do it quite regularly - I guess the cost of living may become a topic for us to discuss and to share how we do it. I have to travel 30 minutes just to get to a decent grocery store - we are combining trips as much as possible!
Shall we say - Drill Baby Drill again!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOUR WINNERS, Becca,
The garden is bursting forth with beautiful color...the reward of your labor and I am soooooooo very happy you treated yourself to a make over per say....I have mine frosted on occasion but at 55 I still only have 4-5 grey hairs that my Mr. Simply can see...I wish it would turn grey...I would welcome it ....I think grey hair is beautiful and wise...a crown of glory...I would never dream of doing anything to my hair myself...my Aunt did a bleach one time and when she took the tin foil off of my hair it was smoking...it burned about 1/3 of the lower part of my hair. talk about a comical situation...YOU WERE PRETTY BEFORE AND AFTER.
Have A Sugar Sweet Day

Hi Becca, glad I found this post and can see you! Great hairstyle and colour. Your hyacinths are fantastic. Too bad we can't get them to flower in the tropics.

I forgot to tell you I like that new photo of you in the sidebar. I've had facial hair for a number of years. I have to use tweezers once in awhile on hairs that get a little longer. I haven't worn makeup for a long time, first, because I developed allergies to eye makeup, and then, when I thought I'd like to try some of the newer products for sensitive skin, I haven't, because of the facial hair. How often do you get yours waxed?
