March 2011 GBBD

I am participating in May Dreams Garden Blogger Bloom Day. Ya'll go over and check out the other blooms from around the world. http://www.maydreamsgardens.com/

I am loving the nemesia more every day. They haven't stopped putting on a show since I put them in the ground. I like the salmon color on this one.

The snapdragon is flowering now. There are tons of buds. I have been anxiously awainting the first blossoms. Click it and check it out. My photo came out so clear and you can see the hairs on the flower.

The bridal wreath is always a treat. The branches get heavy with all these flowers on them. They are just getting started too. Do you see all those buds on the bottom right of the photo?

This is all I have for poppies this year. I guess I messed up by not collecting the seeds last year because there are not any coming up where they were last year. This little patch of poppies are what were left of the seeds in the fall. I thought that they would come back bigger and better than last year. Fooled me.

Our weather is warming up here on the Alabama Gulf Coast. We had a nice rain last night and all the plants were happy this morning. I have lots of seed put out two weeks ago. There are barely some seedlings coming up. I'll just see what's gonna happen with them. Unless I get too impatient and head out to the garden centers for my flower obsession.

Hope you all have a great day.

Today I am thankful for closeness in a family.

PS My little brother is very ill and needs your prayers. We are not sure what all he is dealing with right now. He does have cirosis of the liver but there seems to be some other complications like maybe cerebral palsy is striking back from his childhood.  He lives in Atlanta so it isn't so easy to go to him. Please pray for him. I am worried.

Don't ya just love the Nemesia? A friend recommended it last year and it is wonderful. Blooms it's heart out and all of our rain here doesn't even make it droop! Your Bridal Wreath is gorgeous - don't know that I've seen them before. Lucky you with so many flowers coming - we're still trying to drown all the flowers here.
We'll keep your brother in our prayers.
