Butterfly

The elusive butterfly. This must be the same little one that came last week that I got a photo of. I wish I had more butterfly activity in the gardens. This one has been munching on the nectar for a couple of weeks now.

Ya'll just don't even look at the brown spot hanging there. It isn't suppose to be there. Naughty gardener should have tidied up a bit.

Roses, Rainbows and Butterflies

The most lovely of wonders…

Roses:

Open petals display anticipation.

They invite fascination.

Their fragrance is pure intoxication.

Rainbows:

They appear only after the rain.

They speak brilliantly…

Though they have no brain.

Butterflies:

They are beautiful to see.

They are almost weightless

As they flutter worry free.

If I could possess these qualities;

A combination of the three.

I would have a beautiful glow

And express myself contently.

by Theresa Ann Moore

And this is what I have in the shade garden. Isn't it pretty. The Endless Summer Hydrangea. I will definately be purchasing many more of these babies. They are awesome.

And this head here is awesome big. I love watching and waiting on them to open - a little bit at a time for days. Really gives ya something to look forward to when out checking around the place. The flower seems so huge for such a small plant - about 18-20" tall.

Hope you have a great day everybody.

Hi Becca, Love your thoughts on roses, rainbows and butterflies---three of my favorite things. Wouldn't it be great if we all could possess those qualities?

Love your pictures ---especially the Hydrangeas..The colors in that last one are fabulous.

Be sure and check our my last Friday's blog (July1) if you haven't seen it... Great photos.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hello Missy, I just loved your poem. That butterfly is teasing you some. He wants to be in pictures, that why he's so elusive! LOL. Your Hydrangeas are awfully pretty. Do you have some type of insect on them...I'd hate to see them ill? Come by to see us. Wee've missed you! love you!

We don't seem to have as many butterflies this year as we've had in the past, but perhaps that is because we were gone for almost three weeks. I sure do like your hydrangea.

What a beautiful post Becca. I LoVeD it...so pretty.
Thank You for remembering Amy and our family.
It was a very difficult day today...more tears and pain than last year. I guess I have reached or am in the accepting stage. I miss her soooo very much. My husband, Richie and me had a 90 minute phone conversation celebrating her life and at least she is with the Lord and pain free...it is those left behind that carry a pain, there is no medicine to ease it.
My blog and my art were my sanity and now the blog won't post photographs...it will on the side bars but not the posts.
Once again, your kindness will not be forgotten.
Your posts are beautiful.

Becca, I LOVE that new photo of you. Your florals are just gorgeous.

TY for you sweet wishes for the little church down our road. The congregation I am sure will rebuild. All that is left is the frame.

Hi and thanks for the visit and for the 'follow'. I don't have any other contacts from as far south as you, so it will be interesting to keep up with your blog.

Your hydrangeas are just beautiful! What wonderful colour.

I have very few butterflies around my flowers. They are so pretty but guess they do not like my garden. You have some very pretty flowers.

Hi Becca,
I enjoyed scrolling down to where I left off. I wouldn't have noticed the "blob" if you hadn't pointed it out. LOL

Your hydrangeas are lovely!

Thanks for your comment on my back yard post. If you make it to Nebraska, let me know, and you can come over for a yard walk.
