Changes are on the way for our weather. Expecting a 20 degree drop by tomorrow. Highs today in the mid 80's and tomorrow it will struggle to reach the mid 60's. Brrrr is what we say here on the coast. Most people here are still wearing summer tanks and such.
Hope you all are having a nice day.
I got to work this weekend on digging a new garden for the spring. I'll share pics later when I get most of it done. It felt good to be digging again. It is such a stress reliever. But let me get stressed and digging is not what I'm thinking of.
I was busy in the kitchen this weekend. Baked up a red velvet cake and a carrot cake. They both turned out so good. I only tasted of the carrot cake since I filled it with pecans (I'm not suppose to eat nuts) but it tasted heavenly. The red velvet cake was divine. So so good.
Anyone know what this is. This is growing wild along the roads all over the place and I never really noticed them before but they sure are pretty. Perhaps in the goldenrod family?...
Have a great day.

My mouth is watering. You should start a business making your cakes. I know I would buy one. Carrot cake for me.
Me Wanna Cake,lol
The red velvet cake looks so good. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day.
You are getting that front that just left us here in Louisiana! The temp is 56 now and we are getting high winds from the NW. It actually feels chilly. Oh, you have been busy again...two of my fave cakes! Can I have a slice? Thank you, you are so nice. LOL!
I don't know what this flower is but it is a pretty yellow...It can't be a weed, huh? Have a good week and hope you enjoy the weather. Take care...Love You!
Hi Becca,
Those cakes look scrumptious! Those yellow flowers look too nice to be weeds, but they do not look ofamiliar in my area.

Your cakes look so selling worthy girl, get on with your business of selling them. That yellow flower reminds me of a Cassia of some sort. The Larkspur on my post has germinated from what seeds fell from last year. I generally spread my larkspur and poppy seeds in Nov. You can sow yours anytime. They just need some chillin' time in the ground to germinate. You are not late at all. Hope all is well with you and yours. Think about you often.
Oh those cakes both look so good, Becca! I love pecans and think they really make the difference when you add them. I don't know what the yellow flowers are, but they are pretty.
I don't recognize the flower, but it sure is pretty. AND, those cakes, honestly, I need to read your posts when I'm full, so I don't wish for a piece so badly. They look wonderful. YUM!!!!! We had a cold spell for awhile, then it warmed up again. As much as I love this autumn weather I am looking forward to cooler weather.
Cake! Yummy! Of I would love that Carrot Cake. Love them. Well to be truthful I never seen a cake I did not like. LOL!
I do not know what the yellow flowers are but they sure are pretty little blooms.
Have a great week Becca!
The little flowers look like cowslips, kind of. They are pretty! I hope my flowers made it since we had such a drop in temps last night.
Your cakes look divine :D

I was going to say lupins, but then I really don't know, but they sure are pretty.
Those cakes look deelish, Becca. I could crawl inside that carrot cake & never leave.

Go here and look at this flower.
Looks like a member of the Pea Family.. I think it may be Showy Rattlebox or Crotolaria spectabilis. Very pretty:0
Beautiful cakes! How's the gardening weather down there? In CT I had to put blankets on mine last night and we're expecting SNOW tomorrow night! EEK!
The yellow flower is a type of Cassia I believe...you okay?
