Mom's Birthday

My mother celebrated her 74th birthday on Saturday the 10th of March. Mom is doing OK. We are waiting on word as to when her surgery will be. Doctor said he is removing half of the right lung. But she is gonna be fine and a trooper through it all.

Mom and Pop March 10, 2012

My sister is the Cake Baker in the family. I only think I can bake a good cake. I can't top my younger sister who started this more than 20 years ago. This is her first fondant cakes.

Pear trees blooming at Mom's.

Dogwood.

Camellia.

A painting I did a while back and framed for Mom.

Hope you have a good evening.

I am so glad you came over, Becca. TY

Love your parents picture. Hope Mother does well with the surgery. What a lovely celebration & cakes for her birthday.

We hit 84 today, the flowers are blooming, the buds are popping, the birds are digging & the bees are buzzing ... oh, yes!, & the chipmunk came in the house today ... ugh! We are soooo loving this early summer weather.

Today we cleaned up the bike the junkyard man gave us, I painted the frame ... I am so excited to get this into the garden, the pink basket full of flowers.

Happy St. Patrick's Day my friend.

Have a beautiful weekend.

I hope your Mom's surgery goes well. She looks like a wonderful lady, and it's good she has her family to support her through all this. I hope she had a happy birthday. Those cakes look fabulous! Baking a cake, much less decorating it, is very intimidating to me. Your sister is very talented. I bet they tasted good, too!
