Stormy Weather

The thunderstorms are rolling in this morning as predicted. We are expecting a day of severe weather as a warm front comes in from the Gulf and cool weather makes its way across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Just hoping no tornadoes. And hoping the gardens and flowers aren't washed away.

When I go into the garden with a spade, and dig a bed, I feel such an exhilaration and health that I discover that I have been defrauding myself all this time in letting others do for me what I should have done with my own hands.

Oh My Becca, Hope you don't get any really severe weather... It's coming our way--late this afternoon and tonight. Find a good 'inside job' to do today--like taking a nice, long nap... ha

Hugs,
Betsy

Stay safe and I hope your gardens withstand the weather also. Great quote this a.m.

We have had storms here too - but they have been in the afternoon. Thankfully it has been good for the plants though.

I love that Emerson quote - it so relevant to todays socioeconomic issues!

Hi Becca~~ I finally found your blog. Thank you for all your nice comments you've given me on mine.

I hope the tornadoes don't materialize. Scary. Love your garden buddy. Mine is of the feline persuasion and therefore enmeshed in self imporance, always hoping I'll divert my attention to her.

Greetings, fellow Libra, and thanks for visiting my site!
I enjoyed the tour of your budding garden--it did my heart good since the winter is so long up here. Hope the storms are gentle. More snow is predicted for us this weekend. Sigh. . .
I'll be back for a visit soon!

I hope you stay safe! We had strong winds in the area but never anything like tornadoes. I hope they don't develop anywhere near you.

Grace I am not on Blotanical. I am going to check it out. I know a lot of people are but is it better than blogspot?

I hope your weather wasn't too bad. We have had over 5 inches of rain today. We needed rain, just not all at once!
Stay safe.

You've sure had a lot of rain there! I hope it passes by quickly and leaves your plants alone!
I love the quote at the end of the post!!

Hi Becca,

I have been enjoying your lovely blog, and your Little Buddy is adorable.

Love the Emerson quote.

Thanks so much for following. That was a nice surprise, and a good way for me to meet you.

We had storms and heavy rains in Souther MO this morning, then the sun came out for a while, and now we're cloudy again and might get more thunderstorms tonight.

Hope your storms aren't bad. Stay safe, and happy gardening.

Hugs,

Renie

We are having tornado watches here in Georgia now. Your blog is very pretty. It's neat that you love gardening. I found my way over through Stevie Wren's blog. Come drop by sometime.

I had a stroll with you around your hometown. It was lovely, nice area to live and garden. It is great to grow pears and peaches. the still tiny fruits look beautiful. I guess your winters are not to cold as you have such an early spring. I hope you have not lost any plants in the rain. We had lots and lots some had 70cm in 5 hours, what a deluge.
