I Saw the Doctor

Doctor put me back on Nexium to see if that makes a difference. He also gave me some phenagren but I won't take that except as a last resort. I took Nexium for a couple of years and then just quit. Hopefully it will do the trick. I go back in a month to see the doctor.

When the weather pretties up around here I feel the need to get in the gardens and play in the dirt for a while. We are having some lovely weather for a few days and Thur some heavy thunderstorms. So I have today and tomorrow afternoon to play. The weekend is looking beautiful though even if still on the cool side. I am planning on completing the front porch garden and enlarge the round garden in the front. I am going to name my gardens just as soon as I come up with something.

After thinning the lettuce and broccoli this weekend and fertilizing - wow there is already some new leaves on the babies. I hope to get these in the ground soon - even if I have to protect them. I can't wait to have some home grown lettuce - I've never grown lettuce before or broccili for that matter.

Ya'll lets hope that the groundhog was wrong today. Phil is calling for 6 more weeks of winter. I'm just gonna think positive here.

Hope you have a great day and stay warm.

Well I've got work to do so I must go - but I'll be around to visit you.

Hope you feel OK and yes, let's hope that the furry guy got wrong and the winter is over. Don't overwork in the garden. Lettuce ... how nice!
Take care Becca.

Sounds and reads like you're going to be a very busy lady this month. My goodness, old Phil wants more snow, does he. I hope not!

Hope the Nexium helps. Phil only applies to Pennsylvania. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. It's raining here in NC now, as I type, melting the snow. I wanted it,and got it. Now I want Spring. Bring it on Baby!

Hi Becca, Gallbladders can be nasty. Sometimes mint or peppermint helps..I had mine out when I was down to just drinking water and eating toast...I was thin back then! I hope you get some relief. I am lovin that shirt your Mom gave you!:)

Hope the Nexium works for you. I have been on it for a while. I have GERD. I think different from what you may have. Life gets difficult without insurance! Something has to change! Take care, Becca!

Hope you feel better soon. Maybe a little garden therapy plus Nexium will do the trick.

You're in Alabama; right? (I came across your blog via Law of the Land.) The Southern groundhog, the one in Atlanta, has predicted that spring is right around the corner for the Southeast. :)

Hope you feel better :D I hear what you're saying about needing to play in the dirt... :D

Spring is right around the corner.
Looks like you got a jump on it with your little pans of baby plants.
Anything that we plant here at the lake goes to the "all you can eat salad bar" for deer!!!
I try to do a little container gardening inside the courtyard.

Feel better,
Rhonda

I hope the Nexium does the trick and you are feeling much better!
Have fun working outside, can't wait to hear what you got accomplished. I was out digging yesterday and forgot how much work it was :)

Becca glad you went to the doctor and got some medication that will make you feel better.Cannot get sick just when you have so many plans for the garden. :-) Have fun outdoors and planing. I wish it was warm enough here to get out planting but it will get here. I want to start digging a new bed too.

Oh, hate when the acid reflux, gerd, or pure misery gets fixed with the Nexium...sis takes it and it works for her. I use Prilosec with success. Hope you're feeling better.
I was peeking at some of your posts. We have at least a few more months of cold and snows so I am envying your seedlings. Good luck with them. I can taste the lettuce already.
God Bless

Hi Becca, sorry for your difficulty. I wanted to mention that my doctor put me on Nexium several years ago and when I went in to get the prescription filled, the pharmacist suggested that I just buy otc Prilosec, same medicine and less expensive. Prilosec did the trick. Hope all is well. Diana
