Happy Halloween

On Sunday this is what came my way. It was the first rainfall in at least 7 weeks at my place. It came with the wind as you can see but it was good. On Monday the storms brought some tornados to the area. We don't have many tornados in our area but one touched in the city knocking a few business out for a day or two. Nothing too severe.

After the rainfall has left the area it was beautiful to see this sunset yesterday while blowing in some colder temps.

Hope you all have a blessed day.

PS my in the ground nest of yellow jackets have been gased. They looked like an ant bed swarming. There were so many down in the hole. I so wanted to get a photo but I was not getting close enough to the swarming varmints. Glad to have them gone. I bet they had some monstrous living quarters like high rises.

My baby will turn 34 on Sunday too. Happy Birthday Jimmy.

Hi Becca. Glad to hear you got some much needed rain. I do not like the storms but wasn't it good to hear rain on the roofs again. LOL! The shots with the sun peeking through the storm clouds are pretty.
Glad to hear you got rid of those old bees too. Soap and water may run them out but they would have come back. The swarms can get really big in the Fall when they are nesting. We usually get a couple around in the yard every fall. Last Fall we had them build a nest in the outside siding on the house around the electric meter. Could not gas that bunch nor would the sprays reach them so I was very careful around that area all fall. LOL!
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Yellow jacket are very dangerous to have around glad they are gone.
I think the weather Angels were all over with the storms and high wind. The air is clean and cool here now guess the colorful fall is over.

Happy birthday to your son, Becca, may his day be filled with love & joy.

Wouldn't get near those bees for the life of me. Last year they were nesting in our azaleas, we didn't know it, I was trimming the bushes & got NAILED by those little boogers!, big time.

Have a BOO-TEA-FUL weekend!

Here in southeast Alabama we got rain too.

I don't envy you the task of getting rid of yellow jackets. Just glad you got rid of them.

I'm glad to hear you got some rain, and also that you got rid of your yellow jackets. The sunset picture is very nice. Have a good weekend! :)

I'm glad to hear you received needed rain. Also happy to hear that the yellow jackets are gone. We were at a deficit in rainfall; however, I believe that has been remedied with the rain we have received recently. Temperatures cooling down here. I remember last year, at Halloween time, that temperatures were summer like. We attended a Halloween party and were sitting outside in costumes late at night. This year we'll probably have to wear warm clothes under costumes!

I have been hearing about the weather. Rain, storms etc. Glad for the rain but not the rest. However, it hasn't arrived down here. It's pretty dry. This is the fall bloom time in Louisiana so we have to water well to get the flowers. YOur wasp post freaked me out. I would never have thought of yellow jackets!!

Hi Becca, Happy Birthday to Jimmy.... I had a brother named Jimmy....

We had rain and high winds also---and we surely did need that rain... Could even use some more.

We have a freeze warning tonight-- may be the end of this year's roses. Darn!!!

Have a great weekend. I love your header..
Hugs,
Betsy

I'm glad your bees are gone! Ground bees are about the worst, I think. The rain must have been very refreshing. Maybe you'll have happy plants and even more blooms. Jean

Don't want to get too close to those swarming critters. Best to stay at a distance.

We sure could use a little of that rain here in the panhandle of NE, however we have had the prettiest fall that I can remember in a long time. Had we no wind.........there would still be beautiful leaves on the tree. Hope your son had a great birthday.
