October Eye Candy

The weekend was so nice. Sunny with highs in the mid 70's. Makes one feel like getting outdoors and enjoying it. I did just that this weekend. After looking at this dreaded mess in the gardens...

I visited the Walmart garden center. Of course you can tell this the after photo. Let  me tell you about my good buys... I found many plants marked down to a dollar. I bought snapdragons & mums for a dollar each. Also purchased dianthus, gerbera daisies and marigolds. I feel so good when I get new stuff in the ground.  The aching back and knees are worth it.

Hope you all have a blessed Monday.

Becca you really got some great buys and everything looks so fresh and nice. I agree about the pain. I always tell Bob at the end of a planting day and my poor old body is aching - it's a good hurt!
Lookin' good!

You can certainly see how much work you put into the garden, what a difference. You got some great buys there. Diane

Becca, now I really know you are in a different zone. I'm jealous, you are planting the same flowers that I will be pulling out either this week or next.

I will enjoy looking at them on your blog.

It looks great, Becca! I can sure see how much work you've done. It is well worth it.

I enjoyed seeing your beds and blooms. I haven't been able to get out much. I am going to the dentist tomorrow to get a filling redone. I am hoping my jaw doesn't hurt too much to do some gardening.

Hi Becca,

Oh, I would have totally bought those plants too....$1 is too good to pass up. As I passed by our Walmart today, the nursery truck was there off-loading lots of new plants :-)
