A fellow blogger has passed away

I just received this email. I am heartbroken ya'll. Sitting crying over this. I don't know what to say except I am praying for the family

Hello Becca, my name is Ronda Sigler and I am a friend of Linda Karr’s (Gardening by Trial and Error – rain gardner). I tried to post to Linda’s blogging site the other day, to let everyone know that she was diagnosed with cancer just a few short weeks ago. I don’t know if it worked, as I’m not familiar with her site, and I don’t see anything when I look there. But Linda passed away yesterday(5-18-11) around 4:10pm. Is there anyway that you can get the information out to the her follower’s. There will be a church memorial for her in the near future. If you, or anyone needs to talk with me, my number is 360-785-3523. I live in Winlock, WA just down the road from her house. She did a blog about my little cabin on the creek some time ago. Thank you, Ronda

I was able to get an address for those of you who wish to send a card or something.

I just found this out last night and am so sad too. Linda had sent me an email just 10 days ago about her diagnosis. She was so sweet she was even asking what plants she could bring next time she came to visit. I'm keeping her family in my prayers too.

I know Linda is walking through the most beautiful gardens right now. She will find the soil to be perfect with just the right amount of sun and rain. I know you must be seeing more blooms than you ever saw before. Prayers for the family. Becca

I wasn't one of Linda's Followers, but I can imagine how this will affect all those who knew her through her blog. That is just so very sad, and it was obviously all pretty quick. Prayers and thoughts are with all her family and friends.

Blessings to our blogging friend. This quote on her page is my favorite: There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments. ~ Janet Kilburn Phillips

Thank you for letting us know. I was one of Linda's followers and she was one of mine. It seems like just yesterday that we were going back and forth. I will keep her in my prayers.

Hi Becca. I just got home and found all these email about Linda. It just breaks my heart. She had been through so much already health wise so it hurts to think she went through even more.I think we all can take comfort in knowing that she is in a much better place and walking in gardens much more beautiful than we could even imagine.
I so enjoyed her postings and she had such a giving heart. I will treasure the seeds and flowers she shared with me even more now as a way to remember her. She will be missed amongst us who had grown to know here through the blogs. Prayers for the family.

Very sad...very hard on her family. My husband went like that..after not "felling" well..bad back..for a month and then a month of tests we got a diagnosis of cancer..he died a month later....My heart goes out to her family.

I didn't know her but she sounds like a loving caring person...a sad loss.

I am saddened to hear this news. I so enjoyed knowing her through the Garden blogging world.
Thank you Becca I have not been garden blogging recently as very busy with Lyme disease advocacy but I still see posts from garden bloggers on my dash board and hope one day to catch up with you all but will miss Linda's lovely posts.
