Rest

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time. by John Lubbock

To me this sounds like something I need to do real soon.

I know the feeling - I think I could do this real soon too.

Man, me too. I need it badly, and it's nowhere in sight. :( I wish I was at least busy with something I found fulfilling to some degree!!

Becca ~ That is such a true statement. We get so caught up in the busyness of our everyday lives, that we forget to take little vacations, just to relax and revive. Thanks for the reminder.

I wish I could make like Bewitched and twitch my nose and be transported to that beach you've pictured.

That is a great quote. I think many of us feel guilty resting, like we're being lazy or something. I would love to be on a beach resting in the sun right now!

Oh I so agree! A few moments tranquillity and contemplation in nature energize one so much!

Love the photo of your helper. I saw you blog listed on another blog that I follow and thought I'd drop by and take a look. I'm thinking about starting a container garden on my patio. I already grow tomatoes there.

You should take the time! Today I just sat out by some wild violets..as I was photographing them while sitting on the ground, and enjoying the sunshine and the clouds moving in the sky..it was refreshing..even tho I still wore a sweatshirt and it was windy. At least the ground is warm enough to sit on! Minnesota takes a while to warm up after the winter:)

I'm with you on this. We don't always remember how relaxing laying on the grass watching the clouds and listening to the birds around us is. It will renew your soul.
